Corrections and error reports
Clear error reports help make 42Math better. Mathematical, scientific, programming, translation, accessibility, and citation corrections are welcome.
How to report a problem
Email 42math.com@gmail.com with the subject line 42Math correction. Please include as much of the following as possible:
- The exact page URL.
- The inputs, preset, or shared URL that reproduces the issue.
- The result you received and the result you expected.
- Your calculation, reference, screenshot, browser, or device when relevant.
- Whether the problem affects one language or every version.
What happens next
The maintainer reviews the report, reproduces the behavior when possible, checks the governing formula or source, and determines whether the problem is mathematical, technical, editorial, or a difference in convention. Valid reports are corrected in proportion to their impact.
Correction priorities
- Urgent: errors that could materially mislead a high-stakes decision or produce broadly incorrect results.
- High: incorrect formulas, algorithms, constants, conversions, units, or sample answers.
- Normal: unclear limitations, broken interactions, translation problems, inaccessible controls, and citation gaps.
- Editorial: grammar, formatting, and non-material presentation issues.
Transparency
Substantive pages display or will progressively receive a reviewed date. When a correction materially changes the interpretation of a page, a short correction note may be added to that page. Minor spelling, formatting, and maintenance edits may be made without a separate public notice.
Disagreements and conventions
Some subjects use multiple accepted conventions, approximations, or datasets. If the implementation is valid but insufficiently labeled, the preferred correction is to make the convention and limitation explicit. A report may therefore lead to clarification rather than a numerical change.
Security issues
Please do not publicly disclose a vulnerability before there has been a reasonable opportunity to investigate it. Send a concise description and reproduction steps to the same contact address with the subject Security report.
